I do

Love this guy.

If you know Ryan Gilmore, you probably love him for his scooby dooin to every song he doesn’t know the words to, his love for Brad Pitt, and his all around really really coolness.

Ryan and I spent a lot of irreplaceable years together in Young Life, and he climbed his way onto my list of dudes I would marry if they were chicks. That’s how cool this guy is.

If you didn’t know, Ryan just got married last Saturday. It was a beautiful wedding and I wish he and Les the best. I hope you guys have a blast. Really. Have a ton of fun. Cause you’re allowed to now. It’s all good.

Here’s to David Ryan Gilmore (he’d want me to mention his first name). A great friend and a Tupac thug. West Coast!

Now Just Hold On a Minute

June 23, 2008

So we had a really busy/crazy weekend and I wasn’t able to finish recording the song last night. Check back tonight for the new song. I’m planning on busting out a serious record sesh tonight. Kellie’s gonna be mad because she won’t be able to watch the tube. Such is life in the one bedroom apartment…

There Can Only Be One…

June 16, 2008

Spatch.  I don’t think any other name could suit him so well. The name is as unique as the person. With a life like Spatch’s you could never get bored. He’s experienced most of life’s ups and downs, and that was before he left high school.

The most remarkable thing about Spatch is no matter what craziness happens in life, he always knows the truth and is not afraid to say it. Spatch can see life clearly. It’s either black or white, right or wrong, or good or bad and that’s all there is to it.

This was one of those songs for which I had way more material written than I could fit into the recording. There are just so many unique things about Spatch or crazy Spatch stories to talk about.

Here’s to a brother, a loyal friend, and an awesome person. If you don’t know Spatch, you need to.

Lube It To Lose It

June 9, 2008

This week’s song was a lot of fun to make. I’m sure Kellie is super relieved that this song is finished and posted because I’ve been practicing my Arnold impression all week.

This song is about Josh Lubenow. He’s a great guy with big muscles and an even bigger heart. For those of you that don’t know him, he loves Jesus, he works out all the time, and there’s not an inch of his body with hair on it (except his head). Thanks for your friendship.

(My Arnold impression is not the best, but anything good about it I definitely owe to Harry Balderson. He has the best impression ever. “Get to the Choppa!”)

Father Mcfly

June 3, 2008

Sorry for the delay in posting, but this defintely was the most complicated song to put together so far.

This week’s song is for Father Mcfly, or as a small minority call him, Chris Bernabe.

Father Mcfly (Father = youth minister at a Catholic Church, Mcfly = He looks just like Mcfly from Back to the Future) is known for his inquiring mind, spiritual thirst, and foot tappin, back slappin, sloppy sweaty dancin. He loves the dance floor and can shake it like yo mama’s laundry.

Here’s to a good friend. Never stop dancing Father Mcfly. Amen.

Check Back Tonight

June 2, 2008

I won’t be posting a song until Monday night. I’m working on something special but it’s taking me a bit longer than anticipated. It should be up soon.

Check back Monday evening!
