Skinny High Schooler

July 28, 2008

I met Jordan a few years ago playing church basketball. We used to play all the time and this skinny kid used to come pop threes without saying a word. He didn’t say much at first but we started hanging out. Turns out he’s a really cool guy.

Jordan’s all grown up now and he’s definitely not what I expected the first time we met. He’ll pretty much do anything for money; including eating a pound of pure hamburger grease. I even watched him contemplate eating dog poop for a couple bucks. He’s the quiet kid in the corner who will always surprise you and I’ve come to appreciate his friendship.

Jordan, you work really hard and you’re always staying busy (a little too busy).  But you always seem to find time for your friends. If you’re ever down after a long days work, just look in the mirror, remember these words, and repeat after me…

Red Headed American’s

July 21, 2008

are pretty rare in today’s world. You can always spot one in a crowd. And if you go overseas, you should try to stick to the European continent if you want to blend in. We’ve all wondered what it would be like to be red headed. So many questions come to mind. Like, would my parents love me? Or, would I be angry all the time?

Eric isn’t exactly known for his temper. Though he’s slow to anger, he’s definitely quick with the tongue. He’s also unnaturally afraid of the sun. Seriously, sometimes I wonder if he sleeps in a coffin. Eric’s about to get married in 2 weeks. And as an old veteran, here’s some advice. You don’t always have to be right, never go to bed angry, and when planning your honeymoon, stay away from the Middle East.

I wish you and your soon to be wife the best.

So He Hooked Up With My Girlfriend

July 14, 2008

And that’s how we became friends. I really started to get to know Joey Rohrer after he hooked up with my girlfriend in high school. He was the cool college guy and I was the loser high schooler. Somehow I never hated him and we’re still friends.

There’s no one quite like Joey. He’s one of the busiest and messiest guys I know. He’s got every gadget you can think of and you could probably spend half a lifetime watching his full library of DVD’s. Collected legally of course…

Joey’s also had his fair share of lovely ladies, and the problems that come with them. So for any of you out there who can relate, pull down the drapes, hold your pillow, pop in this tune and let it rip.

This one’s for you Joey.

Glenntendo

July 9, 2008

is finally here. I’m sorry about the delay in posting. Once I started recording I quickly figured out that this song was a little more complicated than anticipated. I’m hoping to post next week’s song on time Monday morning.

This week’s song is for my brother Glenn. We grew up together eating Ramen noodles, drinking chocolate milk, and playing a lot of video games. I still remember staying up all night playing Resident Evil (a really freaky horror game). I would always make Glenn play while I watched cause I was so freaked out.

Glenn is a very unique man. He knows radom facts about everything, he can accomplish anything he puts his mind to, and he is way too good at video games.

Here’s to a loyal friend and a brother.

In Honor of Independence Day…

July 2, 2008

I am freeing myself from song duty and heading out of town for the weekend. Look for the next song next week, when the journey continues…
